Bungalow Iceland
Iceland is no ordinary European country for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is home to both volcanoes and glaciers – two very different destinations which you by all means need to experience. Even if we put these aside for a moment, there is so much more to be seen, done and explored. No matter how varied those locations can be, there is something common among all of them – they will all make you question your perceptions of nature and everything which surrounds us as a whole.
Seems perfect, doesn’t it? Nonetheless, we know how to make it even better – by providing an amazing selection of bungalows for you to rent. Doing so will in a strange way make your holiday a touch more cosy, romantic and adventurous. Besides, if you love being woken up by the sounds of nature, there is no better place to be, as all of the properties are to be found in truly spectacular natural locations.
Icelandic nature
Some tourists focus exclusively on glaciers and volcanoes, and with good reason. However, there are also a number of other natural wonders very characteristic of the country. For instance, the Reynisfjara beach is a wonderful place to start your exploration from. But if you happen to expect a traditional day of sunbathing and swimming, you are in for a surprise because this is no ordinary beach.
What is peculiar about it is not its water, or its surroundings – although they are great too! The interesting thing here is the color of its sand – black! The beach is popular among tourists and locals alike, and you too are sure to spend some amazing time exploring. However, you need to exert some caution – the water is quite unpredictable and waves can sometimes be powerful and dangerous. The best you can do is follow the local safety rules.
We have mentioned a number of times how much we love waterfalls, so it is easy to see why we would advise you to visit the Gullfoss Waterfalls. Although they are not the highest we have seen (the two sections being 21 and 11 metres), they compensate with their sheer beauty. And, because we are in Iceland, there is something unique in every destination we visit, including these stunning waterfalls. It is noteworthy that here, in contrast to most other waterfalls, you are situated above, and not below, the water flow.
There is always something to do here
A very popular activity for the region is watching the Northern Lights. This natural show is shockingly beautiful, but it can also be quite elusive. If you get lucky, great; if not – do not worry, there is something else which you can be more certain of doing – whale watching. Iceland has proven to be a great destination for the latter – an activity which is loved by many. You might have watched a lot of whale movies, but unless you have seen one in person, you will be surprised by just how big they actually are.
