In the outskirts of the municipality of Dalfsen, amidst a varied landscape of fields and woods, lies the nature house. A rural road that is only accessible to residents leads you to it. Squirrels, hares and all kinds of birds have free play here and if you are lucky you can see a deer hopping through the field at dusk. The wood-built nature house was originally built in 1964 on a private plot of almost 3000 m². A few years ago it was completely renovated and adapted to the requirements of our time and transformed into a comfortable, attractive, contemporary accommodation, with two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed and an additional guest bed). The house has central heating and there is also a wood stove. At the front there is a wooden deck terrace with a sitting area, at the back a large (partly covered) terrace with outdoor fireplace. A lovely house for all seasons of the year.

In this part of the Netherlands you live with nature and experience the differences between the seasons. The house is located in a wooded bank and overlooks farm fields. From the cottage you can walk directly on unpaved roads and clog paths between fields. The bicycle paths (part of the junction system) come "to the front door". Within a short distance are also nature reserves such as the Lemelerberg, the Boetelerveld, the Rechterense Veld, the Vechtdal and the area around Ommen (Stegeren, Junner Koeland, Beerse), the IJssel Valley and of course the beautiful Sallandse Heuvelrug, a moraine with heights up to 80 meters. Because of the differences in height (and overwhelming views) you sometimes feel like you're abroad. You can see special vegetation such as whimsical oaks, juniper bushes and white birches. With a little luck, you may encounter the unusual blue-black grouse. In several of the above areas, "wild" cows or horses roam.
