In beautiful northern Netherlands you will find these beautiful, furnished safari tents which are surrounded by meadows and water courses. The tents are fully equipped with real beds, rustic furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, in the adjacent bath house you will find a private bathroom with hot shower, toilet and washbasin. The safari tents are located near the Leekstermeer, the forests of Drenthe and the Frisian watersport area. The city of Groningen is only 12 kilometers away. In the nearby village of Leek is Nienoord Castle, a beautiful estate with hiking area, a large playground and a beautiful swimming pool with water slides. On the site there is a large vegetable garden, where you can pick fresh herbs and find vegetables. The children can feed the chickens and get eggs from the cage. In Oostwold and Midwolde you will find good restaurants. You can also prepare your own meal in your ruralhut and enjoy a good glass of wine while watching the sunset.

The safari tents are located at the Lettelberterdiep which is in direct connection with the Leekstermeer. You can swim, fish or start a canoe trip from the scaffolding. On the other side of the Lettelberterdiep lies a 'mountain bush', a landing area in times of floods. This area is freely accessible to hikers and bird lovers can enjoy well here. The accommodation is located on the Nienoord route, a beautiful cycling tour through the Westerkwartier. Near the Leekstermeer are the "Lettelberterpetten", with a beautiful bird watching hut.
