Welcome to this nature house on Edersee, our house has 2 apartments. This is a beautiful nature house in German Waldeck on the edge of Sauerland. The cottage dates from 1827 and almost completely renovated. You rent the spacious 9 pers. upstairs apartment. The cottage has a spacious, high living room with an adjoining open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. You have an induction hob, fridge and freezer, oven, microwave and coffee maker. In the living room there are three leather sofas, a dining area, a dresser with crockery and a flat-screen television. From the living room you have a beautiful view of Lake Edersee through the large windows. There are five spacious bedrooms. There are also two luxurious bathrooms, equipped with three sinks, a toilet and a shower. In front of the garage there is a terrace with a picnic table. Downstairs is the large enclosed garden. Parking is available in front of the house. Driveway is narrow! For groups up to 13 pers. you can book both app.
Nature and surroundings
Hiking enthusiasts beware! The village of Waldeck has a historical route that tells you about its history. There are also several hiking trails to follow from the cottage, which will take you to beautiful places around the Edersee and the village. A visit to the dam in Lake Edersee is highly recommended. At night the dam is also beautifully lit. You are near the Kellerwald nature park with its visitor center and many beautiful hiking trails. A walk to Waldeck Castle is definitely recommended. Princess Emma spent an important part of her childhood at this beautifully renovated castle. The castle can also be reached by a mini cable car from the lake. Winter sports resorts such as Winterberg and Willingen are a 40-minute drive away. Towns like Korbach and Fritzlar are also well worth a visit.
