This special, modern nature house is located on open water the Dokkumeree. (Elfstedenroute) in the Frisian village of Jannum. The house has a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The cozy living room has a comfortable sitting area with a wood stove and digital television. Adjacent you will find the modern kitchen, equipped with a gas stove, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, combination microwave, coffee maker, Senseo, Nespresso and a kettle. The house has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double box spring and the other bedroom has two single beds. The energy in this house is generated by solar collectors. The arrival time is between 15:00 - 19:00, later arrival by arrangement. The departure time is 10:00.
Nature and surroundings
Fishing enthusiasts beware! Because the house is located on the water, you can enjoy fishing from the garden. It is also possible to rent a boat in the area. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts also beware! There are plenty of hiking and cycling routes available in the area. For example, follow a route along the Wadden Sea or through the Frisian meadows or visit Dokkum and Leeuwarden. For nature lovers, there are the two national parks the Lauwersmeer and the Waddenzee with all their special flora and fauna . A day trip to the Wadden Islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog is also recommended. For the history buff there is within walking distance the high mound of Jannum, on which stands an old Romanesque church from 1150. Together with workers' cottages and a large monumental Frisian head-necked farmhouse, it is a pearl in the Frisian landscape.
