Nature house in Castelnau-Durban

This authentic nature house is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The cottage is part of a renovated farm with one hectare of land. The cottage has a living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet and two bedrooms. In the living room there is a comfortable sitting area around the wood stoves. Adjacent you will find a spacious kitchen, equipped with a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker and a kettle. The bathroom has a shower, sink and a Jacuzzi tub. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a single bed and a double bed and offers access to the balcony. The other bedroom has a double bed and two single beds and a wood stove. The landlords are your neighbors. Handy if you have a question, but the landlord also realizes that you are on vacation and may just want peace and quiet. That peace and quiet is also plenty here, you stay here directly in nature without traffic around you, but the singing of the birds and chirping of the crickets!

The cottage is secluded at 800 meters altitude in the mountains with a beautiful unobstructed view. From here you can immediately make many beautiful walks. The Ariege is part of the nature reserve Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises. Ideal for hikers, cyclists, peace seekers and culture lovers. The area has a rich, interesting history. During your stay, it is definitely recommended to visit the beautiful caves of Niaux and Le Mas d'Azil. Or go to the enchanting castles in Montségur and Foix.
