This is a cozy, detached nature house, suitable for up to 4 to 5 people. On-site parking and garage for storing bicycles. A great advantage in a village with limited parking. The former shell fisherman's house from 1897 is located in the small village of Moddergat. The backyard lies against the sea dike. From the living room you have a wonderful unobstructed view of the farmlands. The cottage has all modern comforts and a very complete kitchen equipment. There is 1 double bedroom downstairs and also the bathroom with toilet is situated downstairs. There is a second toilet downstairs in the utility room. Via a narrow staircase you reach a double bedroom upstairs and via a second staircase a single bedroom. This nature house is non-smoking.

The nature house is located in the twin village of Paesens-Moddergat. The village is located in the most north-eastern part of Friesland, directly on the Wadden Sea. You walk from the backyard straight onto the dike with behind it the ever-changing image of the beautiful Wadden Sea area. You can see the island of Schiermonnikoog on the other side in almost all weathers. On your left you can see Ameland. Part of the former fishing village is a protected village sight. In this part is the open-air museum 't Fiskershuske, where the history of the lost coastal fishing and fishing culture is kept alive. Further into the village is the shrimp factory. In the village is a tea shop and a café-snack bar. For all your shopping you can go to the nearby village of Anjum. The beautiful fishing port of Lauwersoog can be reached within fifteen minutes. It's great to spend time there in one of the many fish restaurants. The boat to Schiermonnikoog departs from here. In Holwerd, the boat to Ameland departs. You can reach Holwerd in about half an hour. The beautiful nature reserve Lauwersmeer is well worth a visit.
