Nature house in Pensol

In the green and watery Périgord Vert you will find this converted French farmhouse. On the five-hectare property there are three nature houses, 28022, 27997 and 27944. While maintaining the typical French charm, the cottages are modernly decorated and equipped with all contemporary comforts. The property is located in the heart of the Parc naturel régional Périgord-Limousin, at the extreme southern edge of the Haute Vienne department just 150 meters from the border with the Dordogne. This nature house is the outbuilding of the former residence. The nature house has its own terrace at the back of the house, which can be reached through the French doors from the dining kitchen. The terrace adjoins a lovely sunbathing area and the swimming pool. At the front there is a beautiful and wide view over the rolling countryside and the lake.

In the hilly landscape are farms, forests, lakes and typical French villages. Beautiful castles also abound. The Route de Compostella, well known among hikers, also runs a few kilometers past the property. A visit to one of the many local markets is definitely worthwhile, including those in Nontron, Brantôme and Piégut. You will find typical local products. The Périgord Vert is known for its foie gras, Limousin cattle, mushrooms, sweet chestnuts, apples and clafoutis. After all that deliciousness, you're ready for more sporting pursuits, and there are lots of opportunities for that: nearby you can go hiking, biking, golfing, horseback riding and swimming. Are you interested in culture? By car you can easily reach the cities of Angoulême, Limoges, Bordeaux, Périgueux and Brantôme or the Centre de la Mémoire in Oradour. The children can have fun nearby in a large maze, a children's amusement park and a zoo. The nearest village of Saint-Saud is six kilometers away. Here you will find a bakery, butcher, supermarket, restaurants and terraces. In Nontron there are several large supermarkets. This town is about 18 kilometers away. Three kilometers away is Le Grand Etang. This is a large lake for swimming, and it is also very fun for children to play there. You can easily go there by bicycle.
