Peace seekers welcome! You will rent one of the three apartments in this nature house: a room on the second floor. The room has two beds coupled into a nice, large double bed and in the room is a kitchenette with refrigerator, 2 burner electric stove where you can prepare simple meals. You have en suite a private bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. In pension Groenewoud there are two other apartments. In the late hours (after 10 p.m.) and early mornings (before 8 a.m.) guests are extra considerate of each other regarding noise.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house has a lovely, large garden where you can enjoy sun and shade, sit in quiet spots on the banks of the Swalm River or nice and close to home next to the sandbox. The surrounding nature reserves Groenewoud and de Hout are located in the Swalm valley and are managed by the Forestry Commission. There are nice small and large walks and cycling tours from the guest house. The guest house is close to the village of Swalmen. A nice walk along the Swalm brings you to the core of the village with stores, supermarkets and a wide choice of dining options. An outdoor swimming pool is a 10-minute walk away. Roermond and Maastricht are beautiful cities to visit. Nice trips include a visit to Bruggen (10 kilometers) with a fascinating nature and hunting museum. The white town of Thorn is 15 kilometers from here. In Steyl you will find the Mission Museum and botanical garden. Emmaus Feniks in Tegelen is also one of our recommendations. Nice big thrift store on a monastery complex.

Nature, peace & environment:Prachtige rustgevende plek, grote groene tuin met veel zitjes.

Margo October 12, 2020 General rating:Knusse kamer, heel aardige mensen en echt mijn sfeer. Helaas door corona de gemeenschappelijke ruimten niet te delen. Ik zie me hier in het voorjaar nog wel een keer terugkomen!
Nature, peace & environment:Schitterende omgeving om zo vanuit het pension eindeloos te lopen en fietsen.
