Nature house in Sonnac sur l'Hers

This nature house is a spacious and luxurious vacation home, with views of forests, meadows and mountains all around. It is located on a 40-hectare estate near Sonnac sur l'Hers. Three luxury vacation homes were built on the ruins of an old farmhouse. Each house has its own entrance and terrace, with sufficient distance from each other to ensure privacy. This nature house has a large living room with built-in kitchen. Arch windows on the side and front lead to the large terrace. The house further consists of a hall (with a toilet, the space for the washing machine and wardrobe) with tiled stairs to the second floor. Here are two bedrooms, one with three single beds and the other with two beds of 1.20 x 200 centimeters. Each has its own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower (and one with bathtub). Round swimming pool, diameter 6 m. Large lake (Lac Montbel) about 20 min drive away.

You can take lovely walks here (such as the "Voie Verte", a beautiful path along the former railroad) and enjoy the unspoiled nature or explore the area on a mountain bike (available for rent nearby), for example around Lake Montbel or in the Labyrinth Vert (a maze created by rock formations) in Nebias. In Chalabre, just a 10-minute drive away, you'll find the bakery, a small supermarket and restaurants. Every Monday morning there is a market in medieval Mirepoix (25 minutes' drive). Cathar castles, such as Montségur, Quéribus or Peyrepertuse, and also impressive natural beauty such as the ravines of the Galamus are within easy reach. The best time to be here is in spring, when the orchids are in bloom, or in autumn when the weather is stable and still warm and the forests show their beautiful autumn colors. Besides, there is a good chance then that you will be completely alone here!
