Our former stone oven has been converted into a comfortable nature house (over 90m2). The cottage is surrounded by meadows and the nature reserve the Alphense Bergen on its own, freely located and fenced piece of forest land of over 3000m2. There is ample opportunity for sunbathing around the pond and flower/fruit garden. The children can play on the private playground and build a forest cabin in the woods. The plot is completely private, fenced and gated. From the living room, French doors provide access to two terraces from which you have an unobstructed view of the garden, pond, forest and meadow. The nature house is heated with central heating and the high efficiency wood stove. In the kitchen most of the basic products for a first use are available, such as coffee, tea, spices and oil. This cottage offers lots of privacy, peace and nature and opportunities for long walks and bike rides. From late APRIL to late OCTOBER we live here ourselves and in that period we do not rent.

The 200-hectare area of forest and heathland is part of Forestry Department Chaam of the Dutch Forestry Commission. Here there is a wide range of cycling and hiking trails that connect to the surrounding nature reserves in the vicinity of Tilburg and Belgium. The nature house is located directly on a mountain bike route of 17.5 kilometers that runs entirely through the forest. A 10-minute bike ride through the woods brings you to recreational lake 't Zand. This large and freely accessible swimming facility has several beaches and swimming areas for children. You can also reach the villages of Chaam and Alphen in 10 minutes by bike. In these cozy Brabant villages you can grab a terrace or eat out in one of the many catering establishments. Within a radius of 20 kilometers you are in the center of Breda, Tilburg and Baarle Nassau. A day in Antwerp is highly recommended. The Efteling and Safaripark De Beekse Bergen can be reached within half an hour. Depending on the season throughout the year there is something to harvest from the vegetable garden: fresh herbs, vegetables or berries, you can pick them for free. If desired, rental bikes can be delivered to the cottage.
