The nature house is built on the principle of stacked round beams, a lodge or log house. The beams provide good insulation and this immediately gives a cozy feeling. The nature house is located on over 7,000 m² of private forest that is part of a connecting zone between nature reserve the Maashorst on one side and the Heeswijkse bossen on the other. In between are the Bedafse Bergen, a large sand drift with sand dunes from which, on a clear day, you can see the provincial government building in Den Bosch. The Maashorst is considered one of the larger contiguous nature reserves of the Netherlands where nature continues to exist in its primal form. This gives unprecedented walking and cycling opportunities. Besides the large presence of nature, the region has several attractions, such as the Kilsdonk Mill, the Berne Abbey where recently to ancient recipe brewed Abbey Beer is available and of course the Castle of Heeswijk. For sports enthusiasts, the region offers plenty of challenges. So you can start directly from the house on one of the various ATB routes in the area, ideal terrain for mountain bikers. It is also possible to make canoe trips on the rivers Aa and Leijgraaf.
