Nature house in Durbuy

Fine nature house, somewhat dated though. Could use some insulation.

Prima natuurhuisje, wel wat gedateerd. Kan wat isolatie gebruiken.

At the end of a country road, the house is at the beginning of the path to the forest. Beautiful surroundings and with New Year's Eve heard nothing from fireworks! Very nice for our little dogs. Only in the distance we heard some dull fireworks noise outside. Fine to do. Beautiful walks. The cottage is basic in order but cold. The heating must be stoked and the fireplace is a nice addition. Insulation is poor and the floors and windows are cold. With nice weather you have less trouble with this. Nice that there are screens everywhere and the inventory is abundant. Didn't miss anything ( maybe a blender) but a whisk was sufficient too ;)

Aan het eind van een landweggetje ligt het huis aan het begin van het pad naar het bos. Mooie omgeving en met oud en nieuw niets gehoord van vuurwerk! Heel fijn voor onze hondjes. Alleen in de verte hoorden we buiten wat dof vuurwerkgeluid. Prima te doen. Mooie wandelingen gemaakt. Het huisje is basic in orde maar is koud. De verwarming moet flink gestookt worden en de haard is daarbij een mooie aanvulling. Isolatie is slecht en de vloeren en ramen zijn koud. Met mooi weer heb je hier minder last van. Fijn dat er overal horren zijn en de inventaris is overvloedig. Miste niets ( misschien een mixer) maar een garde voldeed ook ;)

Tip for the winter months; Check in hours earlier, around 5 pm it is already dark and discovering garden and house is not so pleasant.

Tip voor de wintermaanden; Inchecken uurtje vervroegen, rond 17 uur is het reeds donker en is ontdekken van tuin en huis niet zo aangenaam.

Quiet house with large enclosed garden, ideal for the dogs. Spacious kitchen, blissful beds. Overall accommodation is fine!

Rustig gelegen huis met grote afgesloten tuin, ideaal voor de hondjes. Ruime keuken, zalige bedden. Totale accomodatie is prima!

It is a spacious house with all the trimmings. We enjoyed sitting on the front terrace and on the lounge chairs at the top of the flat part of the garden. We also really enjoyed the sauna! Slippers to walk there are recommended though because you have to walk through the gravel to get there.

Het is een ruim huis met alles erop en eraan. We hebben heerlijk op het terras aan de voorkant gezeten en op de lounge stoelen bovenaan het vlakke deel van de tuin. We hebben ook echt van de sauna genoten! Slippers om erheen te lopen zijn wel een aanrader omdat je door het grind moet lopen om er te komen.

Space and nature are great, you walk from the house into the forest. Unfortunately, as already mentioned by others, our peace was disturbed early every morning by the rooster (around 4:30). Earplugs would probably have helped.

Ruimte en natuur zijn geweldig, je loopt vanuit het huis zo het bos in. Daarnaast is de hele omgeving bij Durbuy prachtig.
Onze rust werd helaas, zoals al door anderen genoemd, elke ochtend vroeg door de haan verstoord (rond 4:30). Oordoppen hadden hierbij waarschijnlijk bij geholpen.
