Nature and surroundings
In the wooded garden of the nature house are beautiful places where you can stay, relax on a bench or enjoy with a nice book. Children can play freely in the large garden, on the swing, trampoline or table tennis and spot critters. This nature house is located on the route Saint Jacques, or Santiago de Compostella. From the garden you can walk into the forest to the route. The house is in the middle of a protected Parc National, where the brown Limousin cows will kindly meet you during your walking or biking tour. Six kilometers away is Cognac la Foret where there is a natural swimming pool with a sandy beach that is often visited by families with small children. There is also a playground here for toddlers. Limoges, where the porcelain comes from and where especially the old town is fun to visit, is less than half an hour away. The local market in the pretty town of Saint Junien is fifteen minutes away. Saint Laurent sur Gorre, two kilometers away, is the village with a supermarket, bank, hairdresser, bakery, butcher/traitteur and a simple restaurant where you can have lunch. The small center also houses the tourist office for the region.
