PRICE 2025 ON REQUEST The generous, partially thatched nature house is located directly on the Princess Margriet Canal on a 10740 m² lot and has its own little dock. The nature house, from around 1926, has been largely renovated and is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. Its own 700-foot driveway brings you to an oasis of peace, privacy and nature. There is a small marina, a natural pond for children, several terraces all around. The kitchen is equipped with a large Boretti cooking unit with double oven and five burners. The living room has sliding doors to the south-facing terrace overlooking the pond. Three of the five bedrooms and the separate bathroom are on the ground floor. Two bedrooms are on the second floor and use the downstairs bathroom. One of the three bedrooms downstairs has a private bathroom. There are a total of ten single beds, divided between bedrooms, all of which can be made into double beds.

You will find this nature house in Wartena (officially, Frisian: Warten), a village in the municipality of Leeuwarden. Wartena has about 1000 inhabitants and is located on the Prinses Margrietkanaal near a busy intersection of water (Fries: the Krúswetters). The village was home to a shipyard from 1907 where skûtsjes, tugs and coasters, among others, were built. In 2003, the shipyard went bankrupt. Across the canal lies the nature and water sports area National Park De Alde Feanen. Accessible from, among other places, Marina Wartena with the solar-powered bicycle and foot ferry 'De Oerhaal'. The connecting (bicycle) path goes along the water of the Lange Sleat in the direction of Eernewoude.The house is located on the water, sound carries far. It is not allowed to cause nuisance through music and/or voice after 11PM.
