Bring good walking shoes and walk several routes directly from the house or choose a starting point nearby. The nature house is located in the wide stream valley Terziet and has an un-Dutch view, many half-timbered houses, the beautiful castle Beusdael (B) and the beautiful surrounding hillside forest Bovenste Bos. For a snack or drink outdoors, you don't have to go far. In and around Epen you will find many eateries. In the village center of Epen you can go for your fresh croissants at Franssen bakery. There is also a Spar, pizzeria Bij Giuseppe and cafeteria De Krieëkel. For one of the tastiest cakes in the region, drive a village further to Bakkerij Vermeeren in Slenaken. In the area are beautiful cycling routes for recreational cycling, (off-road) mountain biking and of course cycling - such as the Amstel Gold Race route. (Electric) bikes, mountain bikes and scooters can be rented in Epen at bicycle shop Het Zinkviooltje.
