The nature house is in a true wilderness and is located on a plot of 700 m² of private land and has a private driveway. It has two bedrooms, one bedroom with a "doubter" and a single bed and one bedroom with a double bed. There is a lovely new kitchen (2024) and new shower room (2023). Nature and surroundings
The desolate department of Ariège (Midi-Pyrenees region), of which Couserans is a part, is barely developed touristically. It has nearly 130 lakes, 3000 kilometers of rivers, abandoned valleys, mountains, caves, castles, Romanesque churches and old towns. The Couserans consists of 18 valleys. Bonac-Irazein is in the Vallée du Biros, a valley with some tiny villages, near the Spanish border. Mountain hiking on the well-marked trails is one of the activities you can do in Ariège, as well as various sports in fast flowing water. That Ariège has beautiful cycling routes to offer is reflected in the fact that many editions of the Tour de France run right through this area. With over 5000 kilometers of marked hiking trails (GR10, GR11), there is plenty for everyone to discover here. Part of the famous Santiago de Compostela walk passes through Ariège. This part of the famous hike takes you past the church of Audressein and the Episcopal town of Saint-Lizier, both of which are also UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
