Nature house in Tondela

Located in the middle of the Dão wine region, the nature house is a completely detached, rebuilt, old Quinta of partly more than 100 years old, on one hectare of land, overlooking mountains and forest. Private swimming pool for guests (salt water, 12 x 4 meters) with sun terrace. Within 20 minutes by bike or 10 minutes by car there are further river beaches where it is great swimming. Overlooking the mountains, surrounded by trees and quiet and 20 kilometers from Viseu, the accommodation offers all possibilities to be active, but also to unwind. Stores and restaurants are within five kilometers. The main house has two spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms, two large living/sitting rooms, a modern, fully equipped, open kitchen, beautiful views and lots of peace and quiet. The house has mosquito nets and air conditioning. It is very spacious at 180 m² and has large terraces outside where the evenings are lovely. Bordering the ecopista - a bike path with no motorized traffic - is this nature house, with nearly 49 kilometers of undisturbed biking, walking or running on a paved former railroad line. Largely along the river Dão, which not only gives beautiful views, but also plenty of opportunity for swimming along the way. Banned to motorized traffic, the former railroad line between the towns of Santa Comba Dão and Viseu is now one of the longest ecopistas. Along the way, you can also have a good time at several old railway stations that serve as restaurants and cafes after reconstruction. The ecopista makes for a perfect place to train for cycling or to just walk or bike and swim at a river beach. The nature house is ideally located for these activities, and within 30 car minutes is the mountains of Caramulo, where hiking is beautiful. Historic Coimbra is 69 kilometers away. An hour's drive away is the core of the Serra da Estrela and also an hour's drive away is the sea. The beautiful city of Viseu and the worthwhile Caramulo are within 30 car minutes away. The village of Tondela itself is five minutes away by car.
