Nature house in De Cocksdorp

A beautiful wide view, with the most beautiful Texel nature reserves just a few kilometers away. The perfect location for a wonderful vacation on the Wadden Island of Texel. There you will find this nature house, a spacious and comfortably furnished country house suitable for eight people. The house is at the back of the large yard of the landlords and offers a lot of privacy. The yard is rural with lots of greenery and beautiful, large gardens and a fantastic playing field for children. The vacation home is located in a quiet spot in Midden-Eierland and is a great base for trips to, for example, the nature reserves De Slufter, De Muy and De Schorren, the quiet Wadden beaches or the nostalgic village of Oosterend.

The Texel beach is an excellent place to get a breath of fresh air. No less than 30 kilometers of beautiful white sand await you. Each beach has its own characteristics. The nearest beach is only 5 kilometers from our vacation homes. On the east side of Texel is Utopia, a beautiful, inland dike bird area. Here, great terns and waders nest on the shell beaches. The adjacent wadden dike offers a good view of the birds in this special creek area. Nature reserve The Slufter is in open connection with the sea. At high tide the area floods. This makes it rich in salt-loving plants such as sea lavender and glasswort. In addition, De Slufter is a foraging and resting place for many bird species and the spoonbill colony from the adjacent nature reserve De Muy. A large part of Texel, including the entire dune area and De Dennen, is part of the National Park Dunes of Texel. Hundreds of special plants and animals live in the area. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails and regular excursions through the nature reserve. A popular children's trail is the Sommeltjespad in the California forest.
