The nature house is located in the middle of nature reserve 'De Maurik' which brings with it a lot of beauty. Such as silence, beautiful views, dark nights and a varied flora and fauna. Architect Jeroen Semeijn of De Twee Snoeken in 's-Hertogenbosch has given the nature house an open and unique character. The timber frame construction with its soft green look and the glass wall at the back provide a connection to nature and the view across the meadows create a sense of space and tranquility. The nature house has a natural green wood exterior finish. With a very high insulation value, the house feels very comfortable. It is heated by an economical air conditioning heating system that provides pleasant warmth in winter and keeps the house cool in summer. You can rent the nature house for a weekend, a few days or a week. In almost all cases, the landlords will not be present and you will have the entire one-acre property to yourself. Part of the property is laid out as a garden with two terraces. There are several places where you can sit under the trees or lie in a hammock.

From the nature house you walk straight into the meadow where the Scottish Highlanders are grazing and with any luck you will see deer, geese flying overhead and discover a heron in the ditch in the distance. It is a lovely green area to be in and the many hiking trails lead you to castle ' De Tongelaar' or 'De Kuilen', a large pond that is part of the Langenboom woods. The nature house is surrounded by 1500 hectares of silence area. There are extensive forests, water and ponds. Excellent area for hiking, cycling and horseback riding. Swimming can be done in the recreational area of the nearby De Kuilen & Fishing can be done - with a permit - in the nearby De Bus. And should you want to get out of nature, cities like Nijmegen, den Bosch and Eindhoven are within 30 minutes by car.
