Nature house in Castellazo (Huesca)

This special nature house consists of one room of 20 square meters, which includes a kitchen, sitting area, and a double bed. Very basic, it has spring water from the tap, electricity, and WiFi. Here, outside is inside and inside is outside! From the parking lot you walk 100m up a natural path through the characteristic clay soil to get to the Caseta. There is a separate bathhouse to which you go by stairs. The shower is made of wood, loam and with pebbles from the river. The water is heated when the sun shines. The toilet is a dry eco-WC. It was designed and built by the landlady herself, using natural materials such as wood, stone, lime and sand, mud and boxwood branches. She did this together with two Spanish women who were able to learn the craft through this. The green planted roof, built entirely of wooden beams and organic logs, is an experience in itself! Outside there is a lot of greenery where you can relax.

This nature house is located in the Sierra de Guara, a natural park with lovely nature on the one hand and deep gorges and beautiful views on the other. The Pyrenees and Ordesa are nearby, and there are several natural swimming spots and endless hiking possibilities. The cottage itself is located in a valley below a small village with ten inhabitants, at the end of a beautiful, narrow asphalt road. Here are still a few traditional houses where the old inhabitants sometimes still come on vacation. The owner lives on the same property a little further away. Half an hour away is the town of Aínsa, where you will find stores, restaurants and a beautiful medieval square. Around the nature house there are no street lights, you can see plenty of stars and the moon! During the day there are regular birds to see and hear including the vulture, red kite, hoopoe and oriole.
