Our nature house is located just outside the small fortified town of Chatillon sur Saone in the valley of the river Apance which flows into the Saone there. In our little street outside the actual village there are 4 houses. The nature house is fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, 1 large bedroom with double bed + double sofa bed, loft with double sofa bed located on the covered roof terrace, a lounge with fireplace. The 1000 m² plot slopes up to the village street and has a beautifully landscaped garden with numerous seating areas. The higher you get, the more spectacular the view. Furthermore: lots of peace and quiet. The village is a starting point for walks and bike rides, and there is an information point/shelter for hikers. The village is proud of its history. You will find a good restaurant, tea house, gallery, some gift stores and a museum about the history of the village and the region. Many buildings from the 17th century have been restored and included in the Unesco World Heritage List.

Nature is spacious and expansive. In the forests there is a varied flora and fauna. Wild boars, badgers, foxes, deer.... It all walks around and with a little luck and if you behave a little modestly you will sometimes see them too. The bird population is colorful and numerous. It is the prelude to the High Vosges Mountains. The area is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. The walks lead you through forests, vast fields, small villages and the hilly landscape. They are well marked from the village. The inhabitants of the village are friendly and helpful, as long as you behave with respect for nature and village life. You can swim in the Apance or in Lac de Morimond. Nice towns nearby: Chaumont, Langres, Troyes, Plombiers les Bains. The old Roman bathing culture is omnipresent in the region. 15 kilometers away is Bourbonne les Bains, a town with all amenities. In the village there is a vide grenier every year, and twice a year a Fête Renaissance.
