In the heart of the Ardennes, in a village of about seventy inhabitants, in the shadow of the church lies the old school of Brisy: the classroom and the residence of the master. In its glory years, about forty children attended school here. After 1960, there were only six. Then Master André closed the door behind him. The house that dates from 1850 has five bedrooms. The former classroom can provide additional space (booked separately) and serve as a party room, meeting room, yoga class....
Nature and surroundings
The little school and the master's house are on a cul-de-sac on a 3000 m² property, in an old garden with fruit trees, oaks and beeches, overlooking the surrounding meadows, where horses and cows graze. You can hear ... silence. There is a campfire site located in the middle of the garden. Children can romp in the large garden, in the school playground or in the playground in the green. The house is located in the natural park of the two Ourthes. There are 150 kilometers of hiking trails in the municipality that connect to other networks, VTT routes are right on your doorstep, with Houffalize as an international VTT meeting point. You can go kayaking in summer, swimming in a pond nearby and cross-country skiing in winter on the outskirts of the village or on the trail in Gouvy.
