Special nights in a unique natural cottage! This idyllic cottage is colorfully furnished for two on a terrace overlooking the valley. A path leads to the first floor, where you'll find the kitchen, toilet and spacious bathroom. Upstairs is the dining/living room/bedroom with a wood-burning stove and French windows opening onto the private south-facing terrace. Although this detached cottage is within walking distance of another house, there is plenty of privacy. The varied nature of this part of the valley in the south of France makes it a dream location for vacations, swimming and walking. The river, flowing over rocky outcrops with waterfalls and a natural swimming pool, gives the valley a fairytale atmosphere. The estate is not suitable for children. Guests are required to leave the chalet clean. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge.
Nature and surroundings
This self-catering cottage is located in Aveyron, in the south of France. This region is not well known to peace-lovers and holidaymakers alike, and is often depicted on tourist maps as an empty plot of land, as if there were nothing there. In fact, the opposite is true. The mountainous landscape with its clear streams, old chestnut forests and rounded hills is still largely unspoilt. Our green valley lies within the 'Grands Causses' nature reserve, through which the river Tarn meanders with its many tributaries. The estate lies at an altitude of 300 meters in the 'Vallée du Tarn', just a few kilometers from villages with restaurants and stores. It's 60 kilometers from Millau, with the world's highest viaduct and the 'Gorges du Tarn'. And 40 kilometers from the medieval town of Albi (home of the Cathars) with its old red-brick center, imposing cathedral and Toulous Lautrec museum. In the surrounding area, you'll find picturesque villages with castles, artists' villages, signposted hiking trails, lakes and rivers. We have no fewer than 50 do-it-yourself day trips in the region for you. The Tarn valley offers many opportunities for hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing and fly-fishing.
