Nature house in Rekken

BACKGROUND. Beautifully situated log cabin (20 m²) with private garden (1600 m²), pond, beautiful views and free run to nature reserve (river, ponds, groves). Quiet location on the border of Achterhoek/Twente without noise from through roads. Large parking area and space for bikes. The cabin has a kitchenette with two-burner gas stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, hot/cold running water and complete kitchen equipment. Furthermore, a dining table/working table with two chairs, a sofa, a box bed with bed (140/200 centimeters) with DVD/CD equipment. There is NO television reception. Bathroom with toilet/shower, small loft for extra stuff, a hanging/closet and for cold days/evenings there is a wood stove and an electric heater. Large outdoor seating area with nice sitting areas, garden furniture and complete privacy. One not too large dog is welcome. PLEASE NOTE; duvets/pillows provided, but bring your own bed/bath/kitchen textiles.

Located on the Berkel with many natural areas in the vicinity, such as the Haaksberger Veen, Witte Veen, Zwilbröcker Venn, Assinkbos, Buurser Zand. The cabin is located directly on a nature reserve with hiking/biking trails that give access to the quiet and unspoiled Achterhoek scenery. Nice towns and villages like Borculo, Geesteren, Gelselaar, Lochem, Vreden (Germany) and a little further away Diepenheim, Ootmarsum and Bredevoort. Many beautiful water mills, such as near Eibergen, Haaksbergen, Winterswijk and Borculo, often with associated quality restaurant. 2 Restaurants at 1700m where one can walk along the water. Ideal for when one has a nip. On the property live barn owls, green/spotted woodpeckers, squirrels, bats and early in the morning with a bit of luck you can encounter deer and of course many other bird and mammal species (a.o. kingfisher is sometimes seen) but to my great regret it does get less every year. The present time is taking its toll.
