The Nature house is located on the edge of picturesque Monschau, in the middle of the German Eifel. The former janitor's house has been converted, preserving old elements to create a Nature house. Enjoy this four-person apartment with views on three sides over the river Rur in picturesque Monschau. Via your own entrance and the original staircase you reach the second floor. Here you will find the living room with open kitchen and the bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet. Via the stairs you reach the second floor, where there are two double bedrooms, furnished with lovely box-spring beds and bed linen. The two rooms are only separated by a sliding door and the first room is the walk-through room.
Nature and surroundings
The Eifel is very suitable for nature lovers, hikers and mountain bikers. From the door you walk along the Rur, directly into the indicated hiking area with many paths and different directions. You experience changing seasons first hand. The hilly landscape around Monschau alternates with forests, heathland and beautiful villages. Wild daffodils grow in spring. To the south lies the Perlenbachtal nature reserve with the morasses and de Hoge Venen, which continues across the Belgian border. Monschau is a small town on the edge of the Eifel, about 50 kilometers from Aken and the Belgian border. The historic center of Monschau has changed little in 300 years. You will mainly see half-timbered houses and beautiful facades. Monschau lies in the valley of the Rur. Thanks to the old center and the location between the green hills near the Eifel Nature Park, Monschau is popular with tourists. The Narcissus Route is a great hike for last year. It leads nine kilometers through the valleys around Monschau and Hellental, which are transformed into yellow lakes of daffodils from mid/late March. You can start the route in the village of Kaltenherberg near Monschau. The route follows the Perlenbach stream until it flows into the Fuhrtbach stream.
