This large nature house with south-facing porch has a 2,000-square-foot fenced garden. It is a traditional house at least 200 years old with walls one meter thick, vaulted windows, a beautiful wooden ceiling and more original parts. It is completely modernized, suitable for up to eight people. Downstairs: a veranda with table and chairs, a beautiful kitchen with all the normal appliances and eight-person table, two space bathrooms with shower, toilet and floor heating (so the house is suitable for two families) and a double bedroom. Upstairs there is a living room of about 30 m² with a spacious table and sitting area. The sofas fold out as spare beds. There are three bedrooms. One with double bed and two with two single beds per room. Two of the bedrooms are connected, you reach one through the other. On three sides of the house there is a lawn. At the front overlooks the hills on the other side of the valley. The side gardens run into orchards. One is quite large and is on a steep hill. The garden (other than the lawns) has been mowed in June for ten years, and the grass clippings are disposed of. As a result, the garden is species-rich, for June and from July onward, so there is a lot of everything.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house stands on the outskirts of the village of Vyhne in the landscape park of the "Stiavnica Vrychy. An originally volcanic area of about 50 by 40 kilometers with steep hills up to 1200 meters. Formerly (from 1400 to 1800) the silver of the Eastern Kingdom-Hungarian Dual Monarchy was mined here. Some 40 lakes were built, about half of which still have water, and there are mine entrances everywhere: now mostly a door in the hillside. Central to the area is the town of Banska Stiavnica. The town, along with the works for silver mining, are Unesco World Heritage Sites. There are hot springs, one of which is in the village and a new swimming pool has been built there. The forest begins at the edge of the garden. Along the house is a path that goes up into the hills. There is an extensive hiking network. The forest is mixed deciduous-coniferous. Meadows are kept clear on part of the hills. In autumn you can hear belling red deer.
