The village is a hamlet with a monastery and a Romanesque church. It sits on a sunny flank of a hill and overlooks a lovely green valley. In the distance you can see meadows and wooded slopes. In the valley with the water mill flows a small river whose source is near Marnhac. You will find roadside flowers, herbs, apples, plums, blackberries, walnuts and sweet chestnuts. You may spot deer or a fox or hear the calls of birds of prey and owls. At night you can see countless stars and even the Milky Way because there is hardly any light pollution here. In Marnhac, it is quiet. You can hear nature! Four kilometers away is the town of Saint Geniez d'Olt on the Lot River with everything you need right away. Ideally located in the quiet and green department of Aveyron, on the Massif Central, between the Cévennes, the Lot and Tarn rivers and in regional natural park Grands Causses (UNESCO). Be sure to visit the Aubrac, a rugged and flowery mountain plateau. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming in a mountain lake.
