Perched on the highest point of the charming little village of Baclain (near Gouvy), this ruralhut is an authentic house that was built in 1701 and has been entirely renovated since, with capacity for four to six people. With the adjacent chapel on one side and a magnificent garden with a panoramic view, this house promises visitors a unique holiday. A healthy country atmosphere emanates from the ruralhut, and particular care has been taken with the interior. Hardwearing materials, harmonious furniture and cosy furnishings create a welcoming environment in which you will immediately feel at home. Baclain is located in a region typical of the Ardennes, dotted with fields and forests, casting you into the heart of luxuriant nature. The ruralhut is the perfect base from which you can take pleasant walks along marked hiking routes such as the Sentier nature de Massotais (gnomes).
Nature and surroundings
The sumptuous garden is without a doubt the crowning glory of this idyllic spot. Take your breakfast outside the ruralhut among the beds of roses and hydrangeas as the sun rises. At the back of the house, a vast garden is a strong incentive to relaxation. Sporty guests will revel in the trampoline and the football net. And the landlords haven’t forgot the younger guests who will take on the play area. The site is also dotted with several rest areas and benches for those who want to admire the view and the birdsong (and the squirrels). In season, the orchard offers fresh plums, pears and apples that you can pick. They are yours to enjoy.
