The nature house is located on a five-hectare estate in Any-Martin-Rieux, a rustic village in the heart of the Thiérache, bordering the French Ardennes. Ideal for those who want to enjoy a wide and hilly meadowland, interspersed with fields, bordered by hedges and crossed by small rivers. The region is very wooded. Hiking opportunities are unlimited. The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village which has about 500 inhabitants. Worth seeing are the church built in 1124 and the two historic lavoirs (washing places). Any-Martin-Rieux is proud of its own forest of more than 200 hectares, bordering the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes nature reserve. Nearby is also the Parc Naturel Régional de l'Avesnois. Nature is literally boundless, as the landscape extends into the Belgian Forêt du Pays de Chimay. Venture out into the surrounding area. Discover the Thiérache along quiet roads with ever-surprising views. Visit the brocante markets in the villages where centuries-old churches stand dreaming.
