Supercharming detached nature house in the woods, large south-facing terrace and fireplace. Lovely for a nice cocooning stay in a beautiful natural area where the sun shines until November. Near Cahors and Gourdon. The house has just been renovated and has 2 new bathrooms and a fantastic new kitchen. The sights of the Dordogne are all nearby, but with us it is nice and quiet, because we are just outside the tourist area in a piece of France that is just completely authentic. Five kilometers away is a swimming pool. There are also nearby lakes and a beach for swimming or fishing in the Lot. The nature house is fully equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, well-equipped kitchen, large L-shaped living room with garden doors to the terrace, dining area and writing table, two bedrooms with good beds (Auping) and each with its own bathroom. In the living room there is another sofa bed for two persons.
Nature and surroundings
From the terrace you have a view of garden and forest and you are facing south. Good barbecue, wooden garden furniture, fine canopy. You share the grounds with birds, butterflies and sometimes a deer jumping by. The house is located in the heart of nature reserve Le Quercy which has a rich vegetation. Wonderful walking and cycling area, but you can also swim or fish and canoe in the river Lot, make a wine tour along the many wine castles or visit the museum of the sculptor Zadkine, which is fifteen minutes away. Good markets nearby and delicious regional cuisine. The house is a good base for sightseeing such as Rocamadour, Padirac, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Cahors, Figeac, Souillac and Domme. In the region there are many concerts and village festivals. Culturally and in terms of nature a super attractive area!
