From the hot tub see the deer running and hear the tawny owl calling! This is possible in this quietly located nature house in the French countryside. In February 2010, the landlords bought a 200-year-old fermette in Le Vinteol, a hamlet with three houses in the Creuse. They have since turned it into a comfortable house. The house is particularly quiet, surrounded by farmland, at an altitude of over 600 meters. Here you can still enjoy the peace and quiet of the French countryside. At night you can see countless stars in the sky. The house is fully equipped and furnished for up to six people. Downstairs there are the large kitchen and separate living room with a passage to the outdoor kitchen. From the living room the stairs lead to the three bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. The bedrooms are all furnished for two persons. Upstairs is playfully decorated with several little stairs. To get the house warm, there is a wood stove in the kitchen and a pellet stove in the living room.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located at 640 meters altitude near the village of Dontreix. Located in the department of the Creuse. The Creuse is characterized by forests and the many lakes. The Creuse is one of the least densely populated regions of France. Dontreix has an average of 9.2 inhabitants per km², compared to 450 in the Netherlands. The region is still authentically French with mainly agricultural activities. Larger cities nearby are Montlucon and Clermond-Ferrand, with a beautiful basilica. You can make the most beautiful walks and bike rides in the area and one hour away is a winter sports area, Le Mont Dore. Within half an hour there are several swimming and fishing lakes. In the house is a folder with various walks, also directly from the house, and information on all attractions. From the garden you see and hear many birds, such as the goldfinch, tawny owl, barn owl and various species of woodpeckers. The landlords also regularly see deer, boar or a fox.
