Come and enjoy the peace and quiet in the beautiful Achterhoek. Discover while walking or cycling the beautiful nature with farmlands, forests and water around this nature house. The many church paths, attractions in the form of cultural heritage, are evidence of a lively (iron) history. In addition, there are plenty of opportunities for young and old for a day out or just relaxing on and along the water. At the edge of the Achterhoek village of Gaanderen (near Doetinchem) lies this completely renovated, comfortable vacation farmhouse with its many authentic features. The nature house has five bedrooms with a total of 10 to 12 beds including four double rooms and one quadruple room. Given its location, the nature house is ideal for e.g. a cozy family weekend and not for groups of young people.
Nature and surroundings
Just outside the Achterhoek village of Gaanderen lies in the outlying area called 'Gaanderhei' the old farm. In the seventeenth century the place, which then had about 120 inhabitants and 20 farms, was one of the five hamlets of Doetinchem called the 'Gander'. From this period the farmhouse finds its origin. Everything in the area exudes an authentic atmosphere; the picturesque coulisse landscape of fields, fringed with hedgerows. Hills and forests with beautiful vistas, babbling brooks and everywhere the authentic farms, sometimes centuries old. This landscape full of variety is the perfect backdrop for many attractive overnight addresses, intimate terraces, beautifully landscaped (tea) gardens, romantic wine estates and charming country shops full of fresh local produce. Of course, there is plenty to do in the vicinity.
