The nature house is located in the landlords' yard. You have a view over the meadows. From the yard numerous hiking, cycling and bridle paths lead towards nature reserve De Vilt, the Oeffelter Meent and the Maasheggen area. The house (with floor heating) is tastefully decorated in a tough, country style and is equipped with all comforts. There is an open kitchen/living room on the ground floor. The kitchen has a complete inventory with all the necessary modern appliances. The living room has a large corner sofa where you can lounge or watch TV. A dining area with an electric fireplace completes the vacation feeling. The bathroom has an extractor fan and a large bathtub with a large walk-in shower. The toilet is separate and equipped with ventilation. On the first floor you will find a cozy bedroom with air conditioning.
Nature and surroundings
The Felt is an ancient meander of the Meuse River. It was cut off from it along its natural course 12,000 years ago. Birds like to stop there on their migration north or south. Other animal species found there include deer, badgers, owls and buzzards. Also within walking distance is De Maasheggen nature reserve (part of the Maaspad). The nature consists of kilometers of contiguous hedges along the banks of the Meuse. For centuries in harmony with animal, plant, farmer and recreant. Nationally and internationally unique in its kind. In the vicinity (about 15 minutes by car) you can reach the nature reserves De Mookerheide, the state forests in St. Anthonis, National Park De Maasduinen and the Reichswald.
