This nature house is a large, comfortable villa in the woods, on a mountainside with breathtaking views of the Sabina region and the Tiber Valley. With its three comfortable bedrooms, the villa can accommodate up to five people, but is also ideal for couples looking for a relaxing retreat. It is located in a quiet residential area and offers complete privacy. There is plenty of space to relax both inside, with a large living and dining room (with fireplace) plus a studio, and outside, with the garden, barbecue and two terraces. One terrace catches the morning sun so great for breakfast and on the other terrace, the larger porch with a sofa and a dining table, you have a fantastic view. Definitely the place for a long lunch or a drink at sunset! Because the porch is sunny and sheltered, you can enjoy it even in the winter months. The house comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay; washing machine, dishwasher and well-equipped kitchen, cooking basics and cleaning supplies. You will also find books, games and toys that you are welcome to use wholeheartedly. Great care has been taken in furnishing the house to create a welcoming and comfortable environment, the hosts want their guests to feel at home!
Nature and surroundings
Although the nature house is close to Rome (you can reach Rome within an hour by train), the Sabina area is full of unspoiled natural beauty: olive groves, forests and beautiful, medieval villages to explore. The villa sits on the mountainside and is surrounded by oak forests and typical strawberry trees. A little further up the mountain are beautiful forest walks to enjoy, one of the landlords' favorites is following a stream with small waterfalls and pools, and each season offers something different: in April the forests are covered with flowers and in winter you might find the waterfalls frozen with icicles. Also nearby is the Tevere Farfa Naure reserve on the Tiber River, a great place for leisurely walks or a boat ride. Other highlights include Lake Piediluco and Marmore Falls, about an hour's drive away, as well as Mounte Terminillo (the closest ski resort to Rome) and Lakes Turano and Salto, a little further away. The Sabina is known as a place to enjoy good food and locally grown products, and especially the olive oil, one of the best in the world.
