In the Belgian Ardennes, on the edge of the forest, is this old hotel that has been converted into a luxury stay for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists and gourmets, The nature house is located outside the village of Les Forges and has 5x2p room and 1 room with bunk beds. There are also 4(!) beautiful bathrooms, all with walk-in showers, one with an authentic bathtub on legs. In addition to the large wood stove, the whole house has central heating. The spacious kitchen includes an induction hob with wok burner and plenty of refrigeration. The old hotel restaurant is now a cozy dining/living area with bar and a large wood oven. Great for making pizzas, bread, focaccia, cakes, as well as slow cooking dishes. Our house is particularly suitable for families who want to cook together and enjoy the beautiful Ardennes. Groups < 35 y on request and only bookable together with our other gite (2p).
Nature and surroundings
In the garden behind the house flows a small stream, ice cold water straight from the Bru spring. In this stream you regularly see small trout, which grow up slowly until they are big enough to swim in the river Lienne. In the garden there is also a fireplace and a large stone barbecue. On the terrace there is a long dining table. From the garden you can walk straight into the vast forest and there is a good chance that you will spot deer, foxes, badgers or wild boars. From here you can go for direct walks and children can play. In consultation, there is of course also place for sweet dogs (or other pets) in the nature house.
