Nature house in Peyzac-le-Moustier

The property is centrally located in the tourist Perigord Noir region in the Dordogne and offers three beautiful, characteristic gites with large terrace, garden and forest. The property gives you peace and quiet for a nice vacation. One of the gîtes is this nature house. Bird sounds can be heard everywhere here, as the property is located on a plateau surrounded by woods and fields. The property is 10 hectares, consisting of a park-like garden of 1.5 hectares. The garden, created about 50 years ago, has a wide variety of trees and shrubs. The garden also includes a central terrace where guests can meet. In the garden there are two large picnic tables placed at some distance from the cottages, where you have even more of a feeling of being in the wild. Around the garden are large fields of flowers surrounded by forest. The property offers phenomenal views of the eastern hills of the Perigord. The nature house is a new 2018 vacation home, in a 300-year-old house. Bathroom and kitchen are new, old elements such as the large fireplace, tiled floors and stone walls have been preserved. The nature house has an intimate terrace under the bunches of grapes.

Nature is never far away at the property. You can hear the woodpeckers roaring, the blue tits chirping, you can see the lizards scurrying away, and many insects populate the flower meadows. In the field in front of the house, red deer and roe deer can be seen at dusk and in the evening. You can often hear wild boar scurrying in the woods. There are a number of beehives on the property, they especially love the flowers of the brambles and wild mint. At the back of the garden there is an owl hive, the tawny owl makes its mysterious call every evening and night. You might find pellets near the owl hive! Other birds of prey that often hover over the valley in front of the house are the buzzard and the kite. They may also be on the lookout in the old walnut tree. When night falls, you can admire a starry sky that does not exist in the Netherlands. Because there is extensive nature around the nature house, it is pitch dark. You will also immediately notice the silence upon arrival; there is little traffic during the day and in the evening and at night it is dead quiet. For hikers, the landlords have collected many walks in a folder, so there is plenty of choice for short and long walks in the immediate vicinity.
