Welcome to Beek Montferland. Our nature house is tastefully decorated, on the ground floor living room with kitchen and on the 1st floor 2 bedrooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms. Ideal for 2 couples or people who want separate bedrooms. The nature house has beautiful views over the countryside and the mountain forest. There is a terrace with a view. The living room has a dining table, a sitting area, and a separate toilet. Both bedrooms are spacious and bright, have good beds and a sitting area plus a lovely wide view. The nature field, includes a food forest with fruit and nut trees and wildflowers and an additional seating area. There are also several restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance.
Nature and surroundings
The Bergherbos is a rolling, vast, mixed forest area owned by Natuurmonumenten, surrounded by natural fields and atmospheric villages. In the southwest of the Achterhoek it is beautiful cycling along the river Oude IJssel, the Rhine and the farming landscape. In the Bergherbos and surroundings you will find animals such as deer, badgers, ravens, partridges, the green, spotted and black woodpecker and white herons. The Bergherbos is known for its many viewpoints. From the Hulzenbergtoren, Motte Montferland or Kale Jacob you can look about 30 kilometers far. A beautiful sight. You can also cross the border into the German nature reserve.
