Welcome to this nature house! In the French countryside, five kilometers from the Dordogne River and away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, hidden behind a shady oak tree, stands this idyllic nature house. The house consists of a basement where the kitchen, bathroom and toilet are located. A wooden staircase takes you upstairs, where you will find the living room with a large old-style wood stove in a large fireplace, as well as a sitting area, dining area and two beds.The attic also has two sleeping places under an insulated roof. The roof was renewed three years ago and has the typical flat tiles and a characteristic chimney as you often find in this region. The cottage has been left in style as much as possible, it breathes the atmosphere of days gone by.

The nature house is completely free. Every now and then a tractor passes by, otherwise the small road in front of the house is used only by neighbors. The silence is inspiring. The region with a lot of history makes you curious and nature challenges you to discover the area. There is something for everyone. The area is wooded and gently rolling. From the cottage there are beautiful walks and bike rides in all directions along idyllic country roads that take you to beautiful viewpoints. Nice to visit include the town of Gourdon (nine kilometers away), a small provincial town with a beautiful castle, cozy market and in the month of July a jazz festival. Places such as Domme (flower city at 21 kilometers), Sarlat (known for the Three Musketeers), Beynac (26 kilometers), Rocamadour (25 kilometers) and la Roque-Gageac (28 kilometers) are well worth a visit! Swimming water can be found near St. Julien de Lampon (seven kilometers) in the Dordogne and a lovely lake at eight kilometers towards Gourdon near a campsite. The Caves of Cougnac can be found seven kilometers from the cottage and they are very worthwhile.
