The comfortable nature house is located on the edge of a small, very quiet and green park without facilities four kilometers from Winterswijk. It features a beautiful view over the meadow and farms. Around it is a generous, unfenced woodland garden with several terraces, hammock, deck chairs, barbecue and sandbox. Squirrels, hares and many species of birds live in the garden. Herbs from the garden you can use. From the house you can walk into the forest on several sides. The house is simply but pleasantly furnished with a fireplace and fully equipped. Upstairs are three bedrooms (two with sink) and a toilet. Downstairs is the bathroom with bathtub / shower and a second toilet. There is a utility room, (covered) parking and a separate shed for bicycles. The house has good WiFi and is non-smoking. The price you see includes made beds and final cleaning.
Nature and surroundings
The environment of the nature house offers endless cycling and walking opportunities in the scenic landscape of the Achterhoek (National Landscape). It is rolling with hedgerows, many unpaved roads, meandering streams, forests, fens and everywhere there are beautiful old (scholte) farms. A 10-minute bike ride away is a lovely spacious swimming spot; recreation area the Hilgelo with a large beach and playing fields. In the woods you can search for blueberries and blackberries and you often come across deer, hares, pheasants or hedgehogs. Nearby breeds a unique colony of flamingos on the border with Germany. Several flora/fauna books and hiking maps are available in the house for inspiration. There are nice places to visit nearby, such as Bredevoort or Groenlo. Winterswijk has plenty of regional stores and a nice market square with terraces. After booking, the landlady will send you a detailed description of the house, the route and other tips about the area.
