At 15 minutes walking distance from the village, accessible by a path, is our vacation house. It is located in a quiet dead-end street with a garden of 4500 m2, fully fenced, and adjoining woods. From the property and terrace with pool and jacuzzi you have a beautiful view of the valley, and you have all the assets for a great and relaxing vacation. Ideally located for people who love good food and tranquility, for walkers and cyclists, for culture lovers and nature lovers, this is where we lost our hearts. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 rooms with a double bed of 1.60m and 1 room with 4 x single beds (or 2 double beds), 1 new bathroom with 2 sinks and walk-in shower, 1 separate toilet, 1 new kitchen with all appliances (oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, Dolce Gusto and Senseo)
Nature and surroundings
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a medieval village in the valley of the Lot River, not far from Rocamadour and Cahors. It is located in the Midi-Pyrénées region of France and the region itself is called the Quercy. The village sits on the top of a steep rock above the Lot River. The center of narrow and steep streets lined with half-timbered houses is not accessible by car and has always been popular with painters and artists. At the highest point of the village is the Romanesque church and a ruin. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie has been named "Most Sympathetic Village in France" by the French! In addition, the region is a true paradise for "green" tourism and offers a rich array of attractions (medieval castles and bastides, caves, Romanesque churches, typical markets), gastronomic delights (Cahors wine, foie gras, truffles) and numerous sports opportunities (hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing on the Lot and Célé rivers, fishing, rock climbing, cave descent, ....).
