Peace and quiet in the middle of nature. La Petite Aubue offers its guests a quiet place in the middle of nature, far away from all the hustle and bustle. Rest and space are the starting points, that's why our accommodations are especially suitable for adults. As gîte rural a lovely accommodation, built "en pierres apparentes" with a warm interior and a pleasant layout. The most special feature of the nature house is its location amidst rolling fields, woods and water with an overwhelming view of all this. Also on the property is the landlord's house containing another lovely chambre d'hôtes. Both houses are situated so that one has enough privacy. Close by are all basic amenities, for example in the village of Vouneuil sur Vienne and at a supermarché at 4 km. Activities: La Réserve de Saint-Cyr (bird reserve LPO Poitou-Charantes), La Réserve Naturelle du Pinail, Parc Futuroscope, Parc de Loisir St. Cyr and the 9- & 18-hole Golf du Haut Poitou.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the department of Vienne (86) and falls under the region of Poitou-Charentes with ancient Poitiers as its capital. Small villages, castles and manor houses and lively towns with lots of Art Roman decorate the landscape of rivers, hills, valleys and forests. Besides the famous aperitif of the Charentes, Pineau, the Poitou produces a very tasty country wine from the cabernet, gamay and sauvignon grape. A visit to one of the winemakers and the Caves de Poitou is sure to interest enthusiasts. Despite its proximity to cities, TGV and autoroute, this is still a fairly unspoiled and old part of France that is well worth exploring. The region has much to offer, but above all there is tranquility, nature, culture, sports, good food & drink and beautiful weather, "La Vie en Vert". Recommendations are the Réservat du Pinail, Ecologia, La Bataille, La Vienne à Vélo, exclusive concerts and festivals, brocantes and farmers markets and the small wine châteaux.
