The reading cottage is available for special meetings and personal attention to contribute to a pleasant time you are a guest here. The grounds on which the nature house stands are a meeting with peace and quiet, a friendly atmosphere in an inspiring environment. The cottage is fully furnished and has two bedrooms, one on the ground floor, for a total of five people. The living room, kitchen and dining area, although an open space, have surprising privacy in relation to each other. Because of its location, it is bright and pleasant inside. For extra atmosphere and warmth, there is a wood stove with a beautiful fire.

Not only for nature lovers, but also for children there are areas with challenges. Plenty of time for hiking and cycling. Using the cycle junctions you can set out the most beautiful tours yourself or choose one of our own routes from the landlords. It's unusual for the Netherlands, but here you'll find three national parks within a short distance. The first is De Alde Feanen, the low moorland swamp consisting of lakes, capegaten, reed beds, ruggedness, thickets and swamp forests. Second is the National Park Drents-Friese Wold with its beautiful sand drifts and heathland. And then there is the beautiful, wetland nature reserve De Weerribben in the head of Overijssel. Taking a whisper boat out on the water is a great experience. In between is a core area of the ecological main structure, the Fochteloërveen. There is a bird-watching hut and near Ravenswoud is a special watchtower from which you have a beautiful view of the nature reserve.
