Lovely detached vacation home in the forest with large and sunny terrace. The house has just 2 new bathrooms and a new luxury kitchen. The sights of the Dordogne are all nearby, but you avoid the tourist crowds here, because we are just outside the Dordogne in a piece of France that is just completely authentic. Five kilometers away is a swimming pool. Close by there are also lakes and a beach for swimming or fishing in the Lot. The house is fully equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, well-equipped kitchen, spacious L-shaped living room with garden doors to the terrace, dining area and writing table, two bedrooms with good beds (Auping) and each with its own bathroom. In the lounge there is another sofa bed for two persons. The view from the terrace is fantastic. You overlook garden and forest. Good barbecue, wooden garden furniture, fine canopy.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the heart of nature reserve Le Quercy. The area is suitable for people who love hiking and cycling in a rich and varied nature, but you can also swim or fish and canoe in the Lot River, take a wine tour of the many wine castles or visit the museum of the sculptor Zadkine which is fifteen minutes away. Good markets nearby and delicious regional cuisine. Our house is also a good base for sightseeing such as Rocamadour, Padirac, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Cahors, Figeac, Souillac and Domme. The Lot is a beautiful region in the south of France, home to rolling hills and authentic villages.
