This spacious, attractive, wheelchair accessible nature house is a stelp farmhouse with thatched roof. The middle part is furnished as a guesthouse. There are five bedrooms (total of 12 beds), of which one room including bathroom is fully adapted for wheelchair users. There are four showers and four toilets and all rooms are on the ground floor. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the house. Outside there are plenty of opportunities to relax with several, (partially covered) terraces. The old standard orchard and spacious garden behind the farm are freely accessible. For children there is plenty to do, including a large trampoline and an adventurous swing above the water. This nature house is ideal for peace seekers and nature lovers. The boat to Ameland is only a 10-minute drive away. This location is not suitable for partying youth groups because owners live in the same location.
Nature and surroundings
We would like to welcome you... in the vast Frisian wadden region where you can still see the horizon, where it is still really dark at night, so you can admire the stars and where you can still hear the silence. We like to keep it that way, so parties with loud music are not allowed. Driving up the estate's long driveway is like leaving the world behind you... Here you can relax with family or friends, enjoy the garden or chill in a hammock in the old standard orchard behind the farm. Need action? Wadlopen, cycling, fun workshop with the whole group, day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog or a visit to the cozy town of Dokkum or Leeuwarden. Hegebeintum has the highest mound of the Netherlands, on which stands an old Romanesque church with a unique collection of funeral plates. This nature house is located on a beautiful historic estate, relaxation, nature and culture, it is all possible and present here!
