Nature house in Skrad

Beautiful nature can still be found in Europe. In this beautiful landscape stands this nature house. It is three apartments and therefore it is also suitable for a group of 12 people. These apartments have views over the valleys towards Slovenia. Although it feels like you are separated from the world, this cottage is only 200 meters from the village center of Skrad. Each apartment covers one level of the house. The two lower apartments have balconies with stunning views where you can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening meal. The attic apartment has windows that make the most of the view. All apartments have a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and induction cooktop. All apartments can accommodate four people (one double bedroom and one bedroom with two single beds), with the possibility of adding a crib for small children. Outside there is a terrace with a communal barbecue and a seating area, to enjoy in the summer.

The area is insane and there is much to do. For example, consider the Devil's Passage, a beautiful gorge just outside Skrad. The hike from the nature house also includes Zeleni Vir, a waterfall that comes down from a 70-meter-high rock. There is also Kamacnik Canyon, a short river just outside Vrbovsko that offers a three-kilometer hike from where it flows into the Dobra River to its source in a deep, blue lake. The mysterious, almost magical quality of the view makes a visit more than worthwhile. The Kamačnik canyon is best reached by car (about 30 minutes). The Kupa River is one of the four major rivers in Croatia and rises in Risnjak National Park. Its colors are spectacular and make the pictures even more beautiful. Occasionally you can see fish jumping out of the water for flies. Just outside the park boundaries, the Kupa River offers many activities, such as rafting and swimming. For those interested, fly fishing is also available. A day license can be purchased for 200-250 kuna.
