Nature house in Aalten

In the beautiful and quiet countryside De Haart, less than three kilometers from the center of Aalten, stands the detached, monumental Sunday school dating from 1924. The striking little school has been transformed into an attractive, special nature house with a touch of nostalgia, suitable for two persons. The mini-school consisting of one classroom is split in two, one part being a bedroom with two single beds. The other part is a room and kitchen in one. The nature house has private parking, garden furniture and surrounding terrace. Ideal for people who love peace, space and nature. Also for lovers of hiking and cycling, this is the area par excellence!

The Sunday School is beautifully situated in a varied meadow and forest area, a so-called coulisse landscape, with plenty of cycling and walking opportunities. Aalten is located in the Achterhoek in the triangle Doetinchem, Winterswijk and Bocholt (Germany) and has a cozy center with several stores, cafes, cozy terraces and eateries. One of the nature reserves in the municipality of Aalten is within walking distance (less than one kilometer) of the nature house. This is 't Loohuis (12 hectares) which is owned by Natuurmonumenten. In the middle of the freely accessible forest is a small pond. This nature reserve can be reached via a footpath. Further on in the hamlet of De Haart are the Ringkampsbulten, a small forest consisting mostly of low wood in somewhat hilly terrain. At 41 meters above sea level, the Ringkampsbulten is the highest point in Aalten. The surroundings are characterized by striking differences in altitude. The steep edges and slopes in the terrain provide attractive sight locations. This is also within walking distance.
