Colorful four-person nature house on a Frisian mound directly under the National Park Lauwersmeer and near the Unesco World Heritage Site Wadden Sea. The house is attractively furnished with a breathtaking view to the south through the large windows. On the north side is a sheltered orchard. The sitting room and dining area with open kitchen are separated by an open closet. You can choose variant A (Frisian for land) or B (Frisian for mudflat). The natural color scheme of the vacation home is completely geared to that. Upstairs is a large bedroom with freestanding bathtub and views over the meadows. There is also another bedroom with two beds, a bathroom and a second toilet. There is real peace and quiet here as the nature house is located on the edge of the nature campsite and at the end of a dead-end road. Next to a meadow bird area and with only a few farms around, there is virtually no traffic nearby. From the mound a path leads to two Canadian canoes and two kayaks for a nice trip to Kollum.
Nature and surroundings
The Wadden Islands National Park Schiermonnikoog and Ameland are both within easy reach from the nature house for a day trip. The nature house is halfway between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland for a day of shopping or culture sniffing. The beautiful Lauwersmeer National Park and also the breathtaking Unesco World Heritage Site The Wadden Sea are nearby for your dose of pure nature. Furthermore, there are many nice Frisian villages in the area and also the historic Frisian town of Dokkum (known for the Elfstedentocht) is nearby. Also for children there are many fun outings to think of; the landlords will gladly advise you.
