Special romantic 10-person farmhouse on a Frisian mound directly under the National Park Lauwersmeer and near UNESCO World Heritage Site the Wadden Sea. This authentic Frisian farm has a lot of atmosphere of its own and at the same time all the luxury of a modern house. The nature house is suitable for seven to ten people; two extra cribs can be added on request. Downstairs is a spacious dining kitchen, cozy living room, large bathroom and bedroom with its own small bathroom. The conservatory, with free view over the meadows and French doors to the deck, is a very special bedroom with a double bed and its own small bathroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two with a double bed and two with two single beds each. There is real peace and quiet here as the group accommodation is located on the edge of the nature campsite and at the end of a dead-end road.
Nature and surroundings
The site is next to a meadow bird area and with only a few farms around, there is virtually no traffic nearby. From the mound a path leads to two Canadian canoes and two kayaks for a nice trip to Kollum. The Wadden Islands National Park Schiermonnikoog and Ameland are both easily accessible from the nature house for a day trip. The nature house is halfway between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland for a day of shopping or culture sniffing. The beautiful Lauwersmeer National Park and the breathtaking Unesco World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea are nearby for your dose of pure nature. Furthermore, there are many nice Frisian villages in the area and also the historic Frisian town of Dokkum (known for the Elfstedentocht) is nearby. Also for children there are many fun outings to think of; the landlords will gladly advise you.
