This nature house is an oasis of tranquility! The house is suitable for max.4 + 2 persons (since bunk beds) and includes a kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, living room and 2 bedrooms (1 double bed and 2 bunk beds!!). In front and to the side of the house is a terrace where it is nice to stay. On hot days there is a pleasant bustle because the "beach" of Maboge is a little further away. Here the Ourthe is deep enough for swimming. Taking a dip early in the morning or in the evening before sunset is blissful! On the middle floor there is a covered terrace with dining table and a spacious storage room (e.g. for bicycles). The house itself is not accessible by car (nice and quiet!), but is located along a road on the Ourthe. The car can be parked at about 100 m. Because the house is not accessible by car and there are stairs to do, the house is less suitable for people who have difficulty walking.
Nature and surroundings
Maboge is an idyllic village about 7 km from La Roche. Nature lovers are definitely at the right place! The house is not accessible by car (parking at +/- 100 m) which makes it blissfully quiet. The Ourthe runs right in front of the door. From the terrace you can watch the water flow by. You might even see a beaver! Many walks and MTB routes pass by in Maboge. So sports enthusiasts are also sure to get their money's worth here. During the winter months, you can ski and downhill ski in Samrée, Baraque de Fraiture,... Excursions are nearby: La Roche with its pleasant town, castle, wildlife park, Parc Chlorofyl, Achouffe, Lake Nisramont, Le herou, Bastogne, Houffalize, ... or just reading a book from the terrace. The water of the cottage is pumped from the natural ground layers. The water was analyzed and is drinkable but has a sulfur smell. Bath and bed linen are to be provided by yourself - the Ardennes at its best!
